Hello! My name is Sophie Wilson, and I’m a high school student at Hutchison School with a deep passion for both service and film. Throughout my life, I’ve been looking for a way to combine these two passions, and as my junior year progressed, I found myself coming back to the same idea. I wanted to create an organization that would highlight Tennessee's local non-profits by creating and sharing youth-made mini-documentaries that showcase their missions and needs. After months of planning and guidance, I launched Taking Action. My team's mission is to use our shared love for film to raise awareness for non-profits and inspire others to get involved through volunteering. While Taking Action is still in early stages, I’m continuously working to grow and refine the organization, striving to make it the best it can be.
